As part of a South Australian Tourism Commission campaign launched earlier this year, the South Australian Tourism Commission has been working to highlight the benefits of a working holiday in South Australia.
The Working Holiday Maker campaign enticed young travellers from the United Kingdom and Ireland to live, work and play in SA.
It aims to help recover the valuable backpacker market, which is also a significant employer within the hospitality and tourism sectors.
The Working Holiday Makers attracted through the campaign will start arriving in our state later this month, and SATC are helping connect these eager workers with job opportunities.
As a tourism or hospitality operator, you might be interested in connecting with this new workforce.
You can now add job vacancies to your Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW) listing and the information will appear on a jobs portal on southaustralia.com.
The types of jobs we’re looking to promote to this workforce include:
Please note, the average length of work for a Working Holiday Maker is 12-20 weeks – while there are exceptions to this, it is by nature a transient workforce. Therefore, vacancies listed should be shorter term roles, rather than longer term positions such as a Venue Manager for example.
To list your vacant roles on southaustralia.com, simply add them to your ATDW account – read on for instructions.
The SATC will promote this page to incoming working holiday makers, together with other sites listing SA jobs such as the Backpacker Job Board South Australia.
