Wally has worked in the Hospitality Industry for over 25 years.
For a number of years Wally was employed by the Australian Hotels Association in the role of industrial advocate, which expanded to representing members of the Association before the Liquor and Gambling Authorities and representing the Association on the Attorney General’s Working Party to review of the Liquor Licensing Act 1996 (The Anderson Review).
Wally was appointed as the Deputy General Manager of the Association before taking a position as General Manager of a large hotel group. During that time he was elected to the AHA Council and became the Deputy President of the Association.
Wally is currently the General Manager of Gaming Care and has a number of roles within the Hotels Association. These include representing members before the Licensing Authorities, responding to legislative reforms, policy development and other inquiries. Wally has previously served as Chairperson of the Gambling Advisory Committee which provides advice to the Minister For Communities and Social Inclusion relating to matters relating to the gambling industry and the administration of the Gamblers Rehabilitation Fund.
